For improved handling performance and straight aquaplaning, the two deep evacuation grooves in the Open Country HT tire evacuate water. The multi-wave sipes help augment snow traction and reduces irregular wear for a calm, quiet ride. To assist with snow and wet traction as the tire wears, full-depth sipes are placed on the tire molding. The Open Country HT tire is molded with a symmetric, variable pitch tread design that decreases the road-and-tire noise and allows cross rotation to minimize unbalanced wear.
